Will the UTEpool™ damage my suspension?
No — not when used within your vehicle’s payload limits. Like any load in your tray, it’s important to stay within the manufacturer’s rated payload, so please check your owner’s manual or compliance plate first.
How much weight does it add?
We recommend filling the UTEpool to 15–20cm to start, which results in approximately 300–450kg of water, depending on depth.
As more mates hop in, water will rise and any excess water will naturally spill out through the spillover safety holes, keeping water levels below 30cm.
Always stay within your vehicle’s rated payload limits. Use as directed.
What happens when people get in — does the weight stack on top?
yes — the total weight in the tray increases as people get in.
Here’s how it actually works 👇
When the pool is filled to 15–20cm (approx. 300–450kg of water), that’s your starting weight.
When someone gets in:

Their body displaces water
-
The water level rises
-
The total load in the tray becomes:
water weight + person’s body weight
For example:

350kg water
-
3 adults @ 80kg each
Total tray load = 350kg + 240kg = 590kg
In short, always calculate:
Water + People + Eskies + Anything Else in the Tray
And compare that to your vehicle’s payload rating (found on your compliance plate inside the driver’s door).
Will the UTEpool™ fit my ute?
UTEpool™ fits most popular dual-cab utes, including Ranger, Hilux, D-Max, Triton, Navara, BT-50, Amarok, LDV T60 and GWM Cannon.
Short trays are ideal. Extra-long trays may have unused space — totally normal.
Can I drive with the UTEpool™ in the tray?
You can transport the UTEpool™ empty. 🚫 Never drive with water inside the pool.
Will it damage my ute tray?
No. The UTEpool™ is fully inflatable with a soft base — no drilling, no modifications and no sharp edges. Just clear debris before setup.
How long does setup take?
Once you’ve done it once, setup takes around 10 minutes. Pump it, fill it and jump in.
How many people fit inside?
The UTEpool™ comfortably fits up to 4 average-sized adults, depending on weight distribution.
Is it durable in the Aussie sun?
Yes — it’s made from heavy-duty PVC. For best longevity, rinse, dry and store out of direct sun when not in use.
